1. Enter the Dragon, 1973
Directed by Robert Clouse and starring Bruce Lee.
Everybody’s favorite Bruce Lee movie.
2. The Chinese Connection, 1972
Directed by Lo Wei and starring Bruce Lee. Original title: Fist of Fury.
Another Bruce Lee’s classic. It was hard to choose between this and Enter The Dragon for #1.
3) Drunken Master, 1979
Directed by Yuen Woo-Ping and starring Jackie Chan.
Made Jackie Chan a martial arts film star.Great action and humor.
4) The Shaolin Temple, 1982
Directed by Chang Hsin-Yen and starring Jet Li.
Jet Li’s first film. At the times of filming Jet Li was the all-round wushu champion.
5) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, 1999
Directed by Ang Lee and starring Michelle Khan, Chang Chen, Zhang Ziyi, Chow Yun-Fat.
This film won the most awards on the list, and effortlessly blends fantasy into its storyline.
6) Snake in the Monkey’s Shadow, 1982
Directed by Sum Cheung and starring John Chang.
If you like monkey style, snake style, and drunken style - this is the film for you.
7) Shaolin Master Killer, 1983
Directed by Lau Kar-Leung and starring Gordon Liu.
Considered by many fans of martial arts films to be one of the best.
8.) Ong Bak, 1992
Directed by Prachya Pinkaew and starring Tony Jaa.
Jaa’s breakout film, with the actor hailed internationally as the next major martial-arts star.
9) Fist of Legend, 1994
Directed by Gordon Chan and starring Jet Li.
Considered by many to be the best movie by Jet Li. It’s actually a remake of Bruce Lee’s The Chinese Connection.
10) The Legend of Drunken Master, 1994
Directed by Lau Kar-Leung and starring Jackie Chan.
Again, plenty of the hilarity that we expect from Jackie Chan, but the action is still great.
