The Legend of Bagger Vance

The Legend of Bagger Vance is a 2000 film directed by Robert Redford, based on the same-titled 1995 book by Steven Pressfield. The story takes place in the US state of Georgia in 1931. The story follows a disillusioned war veteran, Capt. Rannulph Junah, played by Matt Damon, who reluctantly agrees to play golf. He finds the game futile and lame until his caddy, Bagger Vance, played by Will Smith, teaches him the secret of the authentic golf stroke which turns out also to be the secret to mastering any challenge life puts before you.
