Death Race

Loosely (and I mean loosely) based on classic cult film Death Race 2000, this re-imagining by director Paul W.S. Anderson is a super violent action film. Ex-con Jensen Ames, played by Jason Statham, is forced by the warden of a notoriously hardcore prison (Joan Allen) to compete against one another (with the help of some sexy female prisoners of course) in the post-industrial world’s most popular sport: a televised car race in which prison inmates must race and kill one another on the road to victory and, if they win, freedom.
